Description
The Grant Writing Workshop will enable participants to become effective grant proposals writers, while also understanding how to integrate grants funds in their existing and planned activities. The participants will be exposed to a range of methodologies leading them to mastering the skills required to be effective grant proposal writers. This one day workshop will focus on key techniques, real case studies, and tools required for grant proposal writing and project management.

Training Team
Sebnem Sahin, PhD has worked with donors during her assignments at the World Bank, the OECD, IMF, IFPRI, and UN agencies. She is an economist, and an expert in ex-ante assessments of project outcomes. She has acted as team leader, key expert in different international and multi-disciplinary projects. She has also delivered trainings on World Bank project outcomes in Bulgaria, Turkey, Bangladesh and India. Her work has been recognized by donors and academia globally. Dr Sahin is also the founder and president of the SERAP LLC.
C.Y. Nunez-Ollero has over 20 years of experience in grant management, from preparing Request for Proposals to responding to them, from both a developed country perspective and developing country experience. Ms. Ollero received her master's from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in Cambridge, MA and has been a senior operations officer at the World Bank Group and the International Monetary Fund. She has a wide range of experience working with donor partners, both government and non-government entities and in various regions, including East Asia and the Middle East, and the North Africa. She currently works as an expert for the World Bank in Washington DC in evaluation of project impact.
Svetlana Aleksandrova, PhD is a Professor of International Finance at University of National and World Economy in Sofia. She teaches International Finance, Capital Markets, Project Finance and Project Cycle Management. She has been a free-lance consultant for 20 years and has extensive experience in macroeconomic analysis, financial analysis, cost-benefit analysis, regional policy and planning, strategic planning, EU Common Agriculture policy and Cohesion policy. She has acted as project manager, key expert, team leader and trainer in different international and national projects. In addition, she has provided economic and financial advice to the Bulgarian government and municipalities. She currently works as an expert at the World Bank office in Bulgaria.
