Event Details

Soldering is a fundamental "Maker" skill that allows you to connect electrical components together. In this workshop, participants will learn to solder using a special "EMG" circuit. EMG stands for Electromyography, which is the science of measuring muscle neuron activity. You can call it a “muscle sensor.” Participants can rubber-band this sensor to an arm and see LED lights glow as they flex their muscles. Sponsored by Bird Technologies, The Leonard Gelfand STEM Center at CWRU, Blackstone Launchpad at CWRU, The Burton D. Morgan Foundation, and Case Western Reserve University.
Instructor: Ian Charnas
