Sunday, March 26, 2017 from 2:00 PM to 3:30 PM (EDT)
San Francisco, California
London, United Kingdom
The fabrication or assembly of almost anything requires the joining of one or more materials. There are countless ways of fastening, connecting, clipping, securing, mating, sticking and otherwise attaching one item to another. This class will review the basic approaches to fastening, and include threaded fasteners, rivets and other deformation-based approaches, adhesives and tapes, and snaps. Encapsulation and sealing will also be discussed. Those interested in mechanical design, electronic packaging, art projects, or crafts should find this course of value.
And, yes, if will be riveting and gripping.
