Event description

Description

Like any dog, Monty, a scruffy Maltese terrier, enjoyed sniffing at trees and barking at pugs. But after yet another confrontation with the local Rottweiler, Anthony McGowan decides it’s high time that he and Monty have a chat about what makes a good or a bad dog. Might Kant, for example, convince Monty to stop stealing cheesecake? Taking his cue from Monty’s canine antics, local author and award winning novelist, McGowan leads us on an entertaining and enlightening jaunt through the world of philosophy.

“Essential reading on both the meaning of dogs and the meaning of life” The Guardian

“The most entertaining and accessible introduction to philosophy I have read. Tom Holland
