Event description

Description

Your child was just admitted to high school—congratulations! College is a long way from now, but the conversations and rumors begin early. Our goal is to preempt those conversations and help clarify the goals and expectations you and your child will have in high school. In this workshop, we provide advice on how to best support your child in this next educational stage. We will cover course selection, extracurricular activities, summer activities, testing timelines, and the importance of breadth v. depth. By the end of the workshop, you will have a greater sense for where to direct you and your child’s attention over the course of the next four years.

This workshop will be presented by Estela Diaz, College Advisor at Smart City Kids. Estela Diaz is a former admission officer at Princeton University.

Intended for parents of students in 8th or 9th grade. This workshop is offered at $50 per family. Maximum of 2 parents per registration. Only one date offered:

Wednesday, April 25th (6-8pm)

If you have any questions, please contact Smart City Kids at: (212) 249-4066.
