Event description

Description

The Kindergarten transition process is undeniably daunting for families of special needs children—and New York City’s massive bureaucracy doesn’t make it easier.

To help families better understand the many intricacies of this process and advocate for their children more effectively, Skyer Law is offering a free workshop for parents of preschoolers and interested professionals about the so-called "Turning Five" process.

The experienced team at Skyer Law are leaders in the special education legal field, and have guided thousands of clients through kindergarten transitions. Our founding partner, Regina Skyer, literally wrote the book on How to Survive Turning 5.

The workshop will go over independent evaluations, school applications, public options, IEP meetings, hearings and appeal procedures, and more. We will answer as many individual questions from the audience as possible.
