Event description
Become empowered to help others by learning to identify various forms of abuse faced by individuals and families and where to go for help.

About this Event

Even the strongest of families can encounter issues of abuse. As substance abuse, child abuse, sexual assault, domestic violence, and elder abuse plague our communities, it is wise for individuals become knowledgeable on these subjects.

Presenters from social service agencies which provides services for these issues will share their insights regarding prevention and identification. They will also share how to access services should they become needed.

This event is free and open to the public. Sponsored by the Faith Committee of Lake County's Domestic Violence Council, it is hoped that individuals who are connected with an institution of faith will attend. There will be opportunities to discuss ways institutions of faith can support families who encounter these issues.
