Do you overeat on your feelings? Do you struggle to maintain a stable weight? Do your eating behaviours or your weight affect your self-esteem, your confidence and your relationships? Are you tired of dieting? Would you like to explore a way to manage your feelings without food and to eat more mindfully?

If so, this four-week online course with one-to-one coaching, group coaching and live video is for you. Places are limited to 12.

We will explore:

  • Your food story - how and why you developed an unhealthy attachment to food and overeating

  • Your relationship with your weight and your body

  • How to feel and process your feelings in healthy ways so that you don't resort to overeating

  • How to identify your real needs and meet them so that you don't turn to food to feel soothed or to numb out

  • How to understand the triggers that lead you to the fridge

  • How to create new, healthy habits around eating that you can sustain over the long term

The course is designed to help you gradually grow in self-awareness and to give you the tools to help you make peace with food, stop overeating and manage your feelings in healthy ways.

This is how it works:

  • You'll receive an assignment every week that will address a different aspect of emotional eating. The assignment will be delivered in written form (PDF) and video (me talking you through it, sharing my own experience with my trademark vulnerability).

  • You'll be invited to join a secret Facebook group where you will be able to share your progress, ask for help with accountability, and give and receive support to women who are walking the same path. I will be on hand in the Facebook group to answer questions and to share live videos throughout each week to motivate you and keep you on track. The videos will be available all the time so you don't need to watch them live.

  • I'll arrange a one-hour, one-to-one coaching call with each participant to be held during the course or within two weeks of the end of the course. This will be held over Zoom (like Skype). I will help you work through your individual challenges and set a personalised action plan.

  • I'll host two one-hour group coaching calls via Zoom (like Skype) over the four-week course. You are welcome to speak on the calls or to remain anonymous and listen. The calls will be recorded so you can watch them back if you can't make them. You are welcome to send in questions or issues in advance that I'll address on the calls, even if you can't make them live. The calls will be held on Wednesday November 7, 1-2 pm, and on Wednesday 21st November, 7-8 am or 1-2 pm (depending on the group's availability). All you need is a phone or laptop and a wifi connection.

  • You will also have the opportunity to add a second, one-hour, one-to-one coaching call for £50 (usually £100) or to book a longer-term coaching package at preferential rates.

About your course facilitator:

I spent the first few decades of my life obsessed with food, my body and my size. I overate on my feelings. I binged and starved. I ran for miles. I dieted like crazy. I lost weight, only to put it back on again. All that has changed.

I have been a stable and healthy weight for 10+ years. I don't diet, restrict or binge. I don't weigh myself. Clothes I had in my thirties still fit in my forties. I am at peace with my body and my shape. My mind is free from the food and weight obsession that plagued me for years. I have a lot more headspace and room for my creativity (I have written a book). I have healthy self-esteem. I am in a loving relationship and engaged to be married.

I now understand that my problem wasn't with food. It was with feelings. I ate to avoid my feelings or to numb them. Today, I try to feel my feelings and process them in healthy ways rather than stuffing them down with excess food.

What's the refund policy?

How do I know if this course is for me? This course is for anyone who knows they eat on their emotions and would like to find healthier ways to process their feelings. It's for anyone who feels trapped and wants to break free. This course is for you if you are tired of yo-yo dieting and bored of spending your time and energy thinking about food, your body and your weight. You don't need to be overweight to benefit from this course. Perhaps you are slim but have an unhealthy obsession with food, an unhealthy relationship with eating or don't feel good enough as you are. Or perhaps you are tired of battling the excess pounds and hiding your body.

What if I'm not on Facebook? If you are not on Facebook, you can still benefit from the course. You can receive the exercises and videos by email and you can join the group coaching call, which will be via Zoom (like Skype). The experience will still be valuable, although it won't be as interactive and therefore as powerful as you won't be part of the supportive Facebook group.

What if I don't want to be recorded on the group call? You can choose to appear anonymously on the group coaching call and to keep your video switched off. That way, you can tune in without speaking. I do encourage everyone to take part, however, and the recording will only be shared with our small group.
