How to Start Your Own Business
The Working Women Community Centre’s Connector Co-working Space is hosting a free ongoing workshop series for entrepreneurs, freelancers, and individuals who have a small business as well as those who are thinking about starting a business of their own. Our first workshop, “How to Start Your Own Business” will be facilitated by Small Business Advisor Vik Jain.
Who is Vik Jain?
Vik Jain is a Small Business Advisor with the City of Toronto, Economic Development Division.
Working as an Enterprise Toronto Business Advisor for 20 years, Vik is a graduate from the University of Toronto’s Management program and earned a Certificate degree in Human Resources Management from Ryerson University. His main area of programming is delivering Micro-Financing & Youth Entrepreneurship Grant Funding Programs within the City of Toronto with a focus on the Starter & Summer Company Program (15-29) that provides government grant funding up to $5,000.
Vik is also a part-time faculty member at Centennial College School of Business/Continuing Education Department, teaching various courses in the Business Administration and International Business degree programme since 2004.
