Description

HOW TO START & LEAD A COMMUNITY GARDEN - Level 2

As a continuation of the training provided in the level 1 workshop, Tarrant Area Food Bank offers leadership training to those who are looking to start their own community garden project or revamp a project that has been losing steam.

Community Garden Coordinator Becca Knutson will speak more in depth about topics that were presented in the first part of the training series.

Some of the topics for this training include:

  • In-depth design guidance
  • Garden plot rental contracts
  • Resources for community outreach
  • Event planning
  • And much more!

We will meet inside Ridglea Christian Church. Please park in the front of the church at 6720 W. Elizabeth Lane and enter through the courtyard doors.

If you have a copy of Start a Community Food Garden by LaManda Joy, please bring it for reference.

We hope to see you at the event!
