The How to Sell Your Art Workshops are an off-shoot of The Abundant Artist Conference. These are the get-in-the-weeds day-long sessions where we dig deep into your art business and help you figure out how to sell more of your art.
Example schedule for this event:
8:00 AM - arrival, networking and breakfast
9:00 AM - Keynote - The Hidden Path of the Artist’s Career. A high-level overview of why there is such a gap between art skills and business skills, and how to overcome that gap.
10:00 AM - Branding & niche workshop: how to figure out what you’re actually selling, who you’re selling it to, and where your customers and collectors are. We will use real-world examples from successful artists, as well as pulling attendees up front to work through their specific challenges.
12:00 PM - Lunch
2:00 PM - Writing and Talking About Your Art in Ways That Sell (including blogging). This session includes actual writing exercises meant to help artists know what to say when someone asks, "What kind of art do you make?"
4:00 PM - Selling Art Via Social Media, the Ultimate Direct to Collector Experience. We will address the two social networks that matter most to artists, Facebook and Instagram, and talk about how to sell through social media. Using the writing exercises from the earlier workshop, as well as plenty of successful examples, we will create a social media content plan for the next 3 months of your art business.
