Manufacturing Growth Educational Series*

How to Run a Successful Kaizen Event

Kaizen is a Japanese term, which literally means, “change for better”. In Lean manufacturing, a Kaizen event is a process of finding and solving problems by creating a team of individuals to work intensively on the problem over a short period of time.

Join us for a lunch-n-learn event to:

  • Discuss the basic steps of a Kaizen event from defining the charter to report out.

  • Participate in or observe a hands-on demonstration of a Kaizen event in action.

  • Discover how you can use Kaizen events in your facility to reduce waste and solve problems.

  • Learn how you can encourage employees from different departments to work together for improved efficiency and morale.

Event includes lunch, networking, presentation, case study, and Q&A.

Series Partners: GaMEP at Georgia Tech, Chattahoochee Technical College, Cobb County Chamber, Cherokee Office of Economic Development
