Event description
Colorado's teenage suicide rate is near twice the national average -- do you know how to talk to your child about it?

About this Event

Parent University is brought to you by Douglas County Schools and Sky Ridge Medical Center

Colorado’s teenage suicide rate is near twice the national average, according to the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), with a 400 percent increase in reports 2014-2018. It’s a crisis as widespread as it is terrifying, but parents can be part of the solution.

Join Dr. Cecilia Vigil, a psychiatry Resident at Sky Ridge Medical Center, and Jennifer Marnowski, Business Development Director for HealthONE Behavioral Health, for a seminar on how parents can recognize signs and talk to their teen about suicide.

No admission fee required. Space is limited to 60 participants, so reserve your spot today.

For questions on this and other DCSD Parent University seminars, please contact Stacy Blaylock, Communications Coordinator, at sblaylock@dcsdk12.org.
