Michelle will discuss her lessons learned as well as her tips and tricks developed over nearly twenty years of grant/contract proposal development experience, including preparing winning proposals totaling more than $50M from private foundations and government agencies, as well as her three years serving as a grant application reviewer for a federal agency.
Instructor Profile: Michelle Nusum-Smith, a licensed nonprofit consultant, coach and trainer, is owner and principal consultant at The Word Woman LLC, a consultancy that helps nonprofits, government agencies, and individuals to develop the skills, knowledge and resources to achieve their missions to do good. With nearly 20 years of nonprofit experience, Michelle has expertise in organizational development and leadership, board development, program development, financial management, fundraising, marketing, and community relations. She has extensive facilitation experience, including public and private workshops, trainings and retreats. Michelle is licensed to offer consulting services for the Maryland Nonprofit’s Standards for Excellence® program. She has the knowledge, skills and tools necessary to work with nonprofit organizations across the country interested in learning about and implementing the Standards for Excellence code. A graduate of the Honors Program at Coppin State University where she earned a BS in Management Science with a minor in Marketing, Michelle is a member of the Grants Professionals Association, the Association of Fundraising Professionals and Maryland Nonprofits. .

Is my registration/ticket transferrable? Yes. You may edit the participicipant information by signing back into Evenbrite up to 24 hours before the live event.
What is the refund policy? All payments are non-refundable. If you are unable to attend the live webinar, a recording of the webinar will be provided to all registered persons.
What if my refund requests is due to technical issues? If a technical failure at your home or workplace prevents access to the live webinar, you will not be given a refund. It is your responsibility to confirm system requirements and test your computer prior to the start of the webinar. However, if a technical failure is the fault of the service provider and the webinar is cancelled, a full refund will be provided.
