Event Details

Brexit is going to happen, whether we are ardent Remainers or strident Leavers.

This workshop sets out the key issues you need to prepare for as a small business owner.

Why Attend

What is clear is that the Government have not prepared small and medium sized business owners for it.

It is okay if you are large - you can employ consultants and big firms to help you.

But what about smaller Companies and businesses?

How do you prepare?

Or can you ignore it and hope for the best?

This seminar helps you to think about the critical issues you must have in place to prepare for a no-deal Brexit but also key foundations in the event of some Brexit deal. There is no doubt that there will be economic volatility and uncertainty.

Are you ready?

What People Who Have Come Have Said

"I found the seminar very helpful. It definitely prompted me to think about a few different risk issues and contingency plans.

Simon seemed very approachable and easy enough to follow. Considering the uncertainty surrounding Brexit, he seemed to explore various issues and possibilities to help prepare for it without making claims.

Regarding the model of the seminar, it encourages interactive conversation about this very speculative topic of Brexit, which is helpful. The class printouts were also very clear with enough space for notes.

I definitely recommend. " Kemi Chavdarova,

"I found the talk informative and very open minded, looking at all potential outcomes both positive and negative and how to best plan for those outcomes. The main focus was looking at how business can best mitigate any potential negative effects Brexit would have but we also discussed potential opportunities which was refreshing as most of the media solely focuses on the negatives."  THomas Fleming, Cartus

"Simon’s presentation was comprehensive and looked at all likely impacts on SME’s as a result of Brexit and not only from a legal standpoint. The resounding message was that good governance and planning has never been more important than at the current time." Lawrence Wilson, Business Doctors

Is This Event For You?

Whether you are a one man service provider, a small shop, or a medium sized factory it doesn't really matter. If you don't have some kind of plan in place, your business could fail overnight.

Or not.

That is the problem. We simply don't know the impact Brexit will have.

Some people think it will be a disaster, others fine. The reality is no one knows.

All we can do is plan for the worst and hope for the best.

However, to get anything out of this, you need to have a functioning business with clients and customers. This is a practical class, not a theoretical one.

What WIll The Seminar Cover?

That is what we will do in this seminar.  Held at 36 Bedford Row near Holborn and Chancery Lane, with limited spaces, we will cover:

1. Trade, tarrifs  and economic factors  where are you vulnerable?

2. Employment law related issues - protecting your 'talent' from leaving or being poached;

3. IP and protecting your assets -  is your IP vulnerable?

4. Data protection related issues  - GDPR and DPA 2018 - are you vulnerable and does it matter?

5. Granite Business Foundations - the 4 key areas to build upon to survive Brexit

This class will last 90 minutes with a short break half way through.

Tickets are free but the room is quite small and can only take 25. So please book fast and also - please attend!

This is a free class - can you afford not to come?
