You can't get funded if you can't get in the door.....
This workshop will consist of an in-depth discussion on how to create a compelling executive summary and a solid investor slide deck. Communicating your message effectively so investors understand your value proposition is critical to raising funding for your startup.
It is difficult to get a job without a good resume; it is difficult to get funded without a good executive summary.
We will go through how to create an effective executive summary bullet-by-bullet and discuss what info you need to provide and why investors need it. You will also learn how to tell your story to appeal to an investor's perspective -- something many entrepreneurs do not understand.
Understanding the “what’s and why’s” investors are looking for will allow you to present your message in the the verbiage they are looking for -- increasing your odds of getting them interested in funding your startup.
We will also cover how your executive summary and slide deck should work as a 1-2 punch.
Finally we will touch on business plan development and outline how it fits in with your investor documents.
At the end of this workshop you will know what investors want to see, why they need it and how to present your story effectively.
