Event Details

The presentation will provide an overview of how proposal adequacy is determined through discussions on FAR (Federal Aquisition Regulation) Part 15, Table 15-2 and DFARs (Defense Federal Aquisiton Regulation Supplement) 252.215-7009. The presentation will discuss proposal adequacy requirements for cost elements such as Direct Labor, Material, Subcontracts, Other Direct Costs, and Indirect Rates. Finally, participants will learn about historical data considerations, FAR Part 31 Unallowable Costs, common proposal deficiencies, and regulatory resources. 


About Our Speaker

Karen Beckman

Financial Liaison Advisor, Defense Contract Audit Agency

Karen Beckman started with the Defense Contract Audit Agenct (DCAA) in 1989. After reaching the Sr. Auditor level, she left to work in industry and returned to DCAA in 2011. In addition to performing and supervising various types of audits at DCAA at major, large non-major, and small businesses, she has also worked at a variety of DCAA offices. She has a Master’s of Business Administration degree with a concentration in Accounting and is a Certified Public Accountant in the state of Florida.
