WORKSHOP DESCRIPTION:

In this workshop we will discuss how to model seven different business models for pre-revenue service or software startups. Specifically we will cover the following:

1. Creating assumptions for and modeling various user/customer acquisition strategies, including those driven by advertising budgets, the number of participants and the number of salespeople.

2. Creating assumptions for and modeling a weighted average price for a range of products or services.

3. Creating assumptions for and modeling a weighted average price for in-app purchases for mobile apps.

4. A user modeling exercise.

5. An affiliate/ direct revenue model for advertising that will also demonstrate how to model an affiliate-to-direct transition as well negotiating revenue share from an affiliate network.

6. An advertising revenue model that will demonstrate how to estimate the number of click-throughs.
