How to Measure a Relationship: Supporting Dyadic Attunement

Relationships are fundamental to development, caregiving, and all learning.  Participants will learn how to support parental attunement to move development forward in support of school readiness and life success. Participants will increase their skills and knowledge related to assessing risks to relational success within the child-caregiver dyad.

Following this training attendees will be able to:

  • Describe how attuned caregiving relationships positively influence developmentExplain the term ‘Infant Mental Health’ to caregivers and birth- five providers
  • List risk factors that limit caregiver’s capacity to engage with their children
  • Use observation to assess when behaviors reach the level of ‘at risk’ to optimal development

Parking:  Parking onsite

Both sessions are the same - Select one:

Session A:  Check-in, continental breakfast begin at 8:30am; Training from 9am - 12pm

Session B:  Check-in begins at 12:30pm; Training from 1pm - 4pm; snack provided

 

Continental Breakfast and snack provided.  Lunch is on your own.


Continuing Education Credits: up to 3 credits available for PSY, MFT, and LCSW's

APA: Children’s Institute, Inc. is approved by the American Psychological Association to sponsor continuing education for psychologists. Children’s Institute, Inc. maintains responsibility for this program and its content.  The California Board of Behavioral Science (BBS) now recognizes APA continuing education credit for license renewal for LCSWs and MFTs.

 

CANCELLATION/REFUND POLICY:

By registering for this training the agency is liable for the CE fee, which is fully refundable up to November 1, 2018. Registration is transferrable prior to the start of the training.  Once the training begins, fees are non-refundable/transferrable and no partial refunds will be given.
