How to Make Your Conferences and Rotations a Learning (NOT Teaching) Experience

This presentation focuses on the shared responsibilities between teacher and learners expected of adult learners. Attendees will participate in short, practical demonstrations of “active learning” (including the flipped classroom) that can be easily adapted to the classroom and clinical rotations.

At the end of this session, participants will be able to:

  1. Recognize and role model key principles of Adult Learning Theory
  2. Use Learner-centered approaches to education
  3. Distinguish between pedagogic (i.e. how to teach children) and andragogic (i.e. how to teach adults) methods of teaching and learning
