How to Release Your Music in a Streaming World to Grow Your Fanbase and Generate Revenue
Today's music world has changed how musicians build a fanbase as well as how they get royalties paid out. Musicians need to change their strategies in a world where playlists are the new social way to get discovered and nearly 2/3 of all music heard by Spotify's 70+ million users are singles. This session covers where musicians should register their music to get all of the royalties they are owed, improve their chances of getting their music licensed by TV & Movies, plan their releases, and covers the new tools to promote music and get discovered. Includes info on how to get started from 0 subscribers and 0 views through growing an existing fanbase by covering 20 categories of places to get their music discovered and heard and the strategies on how to use them.
This interactive session has an active networking exercise for musicians attending the event: The Four Secrets to Networking for Musicians + Live Networking Workshop.
This workshop, usually $100, is brought to you for FREE by NYC Mayor's Office of Media and Entertainment and the Made in NY Media Center by IFP.
