The objective of this class will be to learn simple machine sewing techniques along with hand-stitching to make a miniature quilt that could be used as a wall hanging. There will be an emphasis on incorporating a recycled piece of fabric (clothing, dishcloth, curtain, sheet, pillowcase, etc.) to be incorporated into the design. The mini-quilt will be approximately a 18" x 18" square (about the size of a throw pillow). Patterns will be provided, but improvisational quilting will be encouraged and taught as well.
