Did you know Maryland is home to over 32,000 nonprofit organizations and employs ten percent of the workforce! And, volunteers like you contribute more than 1.3 million volunteer hours to these types of organizations. Join us for an interactive webinar that explores the size and scope of nonprofit and philanthropic sector in the region, how nonprofits typically operate, and the vital role that the United Way of Central Maryland plays in supporting area nonprofit organizations. You’ll leave the webinar with new insights about nonprofit sector as well as options for igniting change in United Way related organizations.

The webinar is led by Heather Carpenter, who previously ran community-based nonprofit organizations, and is currently Associate Professor of Nonprofit Management and Business at Notre Dame of Maryland University. NDMU offers bachelors, certificates and master’s degrees in Leadership and Management, Nonprofit Management, and Philanthropy.
