Who are you?
Jassen Bowman is an Enrolled Agent specializing in the field of IRS collections representation (tax resolution). He has created a niche for himself working with independent transportation companies that owe back payroll taxes and Heavy Vehicle Highway Use Tax (Form 2290) to the IRS, as well as assisting expats with FBAR and other compliance matters unique to Americans expats.
Previously, Jassen was a full time real estate investor and broker, but became a refugee of the real estate crash. As a result, six years ago Jassen was bankrupt, living in his car, and completely frustrated with life in general. Having nothing left to lose, he made a major career change and joined a small tax practice as a $10/hr administrative assistant. Fortunately, he caught on quick, obtained his Enrolled Agent license, and drastically transformed the tax practice he worked at (more than tripling revenue in under two years) before eventually heading out on his own to repeat the process. Within ten months in private practice, Jassen's new tax practice had it's first $35,000 month, and he was living the dream by working with clients remotely from Japan.
Jassen has now worked with nearly 200 independent tax professionals to assist them in adding lucrative tax resolution services to their businesses. He is the author of six books on the subjects of tax resolution and tax practice marketing, regularly conducts tax resolution and marketing training seminars (both online and in person), and has become recognized as America’s premier expert on the subject of marketing and selling taxpayer representation services.
When & Where
Jassen Bowman practiced exclusively in IRS Collections representation for eight years as an Enrolled Agent, including three years operating a completely remote, cloud-based practice while traveling the world full time.
He is the author of several books and practice management manuals, including Tax Resolution Systems. In 2015, he co-founded Prolaera, a Seattle tech startup transforming the way accounting firms manage and deliver staff CPE.
