Event description

Description

How to have an intentional, crazy real conversation about race without losing sleep, dignity or friends (or try to).

We surveyed Tallahassee on having conversations about race and learned that 28% would rather organize their sock drawer, 16% think sitting in a traffic jam sounds better and 14% would prefer a root canal.

But we say you can have a meaningful conversation on race and STILL have a good time.

Come join us as Local Color panelists will each bring their own "do’s and don’ts" for how to talk race. Then we’ll put our panel on the spot as they try their hand at Everything You've Always Wanted to Know about People of a Different Race (but were afraid to ask). (Bring your questions. It will be anonymous.)

Local Color is being sponsored by;

As if that weren't good enough, appetizers on us, drinks (and additional food) available for your purchase.

We are incredibly grateful to be able to present this with on-going support from: The John S. and James L. Knight Foundation through the Community Foundation of North Florida and the National Endowment for the Humanities through the Florida Humanities Council.
