Event description

Description

Noon class. This event is paid for by the Federal Office of Economic Adjustment and the UMass Lowell Research Institute. Light refreshments provided! Do you have a great idea you want to get off the ground? Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) grants can provide over a million dollars to each product development, with no infringement on IP or company ownership. It's a smart vehicle to use for getting to prototype or extending a runway. But there is a catch - they are competitive! And truly innovative research is required. And your goals must intersect with those of funding body (DOD, NIH, DHS, DOE, DOT, etc.). Come learn some best practices for choosing a Topic and writing a winning proposal.

This event is targeted to new entrants, but intermediate and advanced SBIR participants are also welcome to come share their experiences. Agenda: 12:00 grab food, make introductions, 12:10 presentation, 12:40 Q&A

See you there!
