Want to fall in love? Want to have fun getting to know some compassionate, silly, and interesting people? Want more opportunities to open up and connect? Join me for a fun time testing the love experiment. This round is open to people of all genders and sexual orientations.

A couple of decades ago, an awesome scientist decided to test out the previously untestable, this thing called love. He & his team developed a series of questions designed to foster mutual vulnerability & proved what Brene Brown has been telling us- that vulnerability can shorten the path to intimacy. Click here to read the NY Times article all about this study.

During this event we are going to answer these questions, play some other question games, and eye gaze in order to foster an experience of deep connection. By the end, I predict that everyone involved will feel closer to everyone else at the event.

Valentines Edition? What?

As always, we will start with a few opportunities to meet others in the room through quick question games, sentence prompts, and eye gazing. Afterwards, we will have approx. 90 minutes to dive deeper with 1 or 2 lovely people.

Since Valentine's Day is right around the corner, I will give us a little more romance. You can expect more candles, a bit more love music, and maybe some cheesy hearts. I will also get us some Valentine's Day cards for those who want to write them to other cuties in the room. I like to create a casual, flirty environment so feel free to exchange valentines with lots of people to simply show appreciation.

If you haven't been to a previous event, no worries. You are still welcome to come and participate fully. No prerequisites. :)

The activities invite us to take risks by playing outside of our comfort zones; discovering more and more about the other people in the room and ourselves along the way. All of this is within a container that is safe for getting real, taking emotional risks, and having personal growth.

We will answer open-ended questions, learn about others, eye gaze, notice what comes up for us, and share all of it with others in the room. There will be opportunities to partner up, do activities in small groups, and do some large group shares.

People who...

are seeking deep connection

love learning more about interesting people

love talking about themselves to people who want to listen

Click here to watch 2 strangers testing out this experiment.

This is an intentional environment designed to make conversation relatively easy and low pressure. This is not speed dating. The questions/ games are designed to encourage "big talk" as opposed to small talk, which is typical at other get to know you events.

I obviously can't promise that you will fall in love. Still, I am confident that you will have deep connections and moments of great intimacy with others at the event. We are all experimenting here. Let's see what is possible when we all show up with intimacy on our minds.

Whether you are in search of a lover, a new friend, or a fun roommate; connection is important. If you are open to it, there is no limit to the types of connections that could come out of this event.

Heartfelt Testimonial

"When I first started going to these events, I was super shy and quiet. I would like to say that I'm still pretty quiet, and I'm still pretty shy. The difference in me is not in who I am, but in that how I feel about it. Being in an environment so welcoming of the nuances of everyone's personal boundaries and modes of expression was an awakening. It creates a culture that is one of intrinsic acceptance. You are you, I am me, and we are us in this moment."

- Sage, Workshop Participant

Doors open at 6:45 pm. The introductions and agreements discussion will start PROMPTLY at 7:15 pm. If you are not here by 7:15 pm and have not called, you will not be able to participate. My phone number is 669-23-BE-YOU.

Activities will wrap-up around 9:45 pm giving us about half an hour to discuss upcoming events, snack, or simply enjoy each other's company in my cuddle friendly space. This is also a great time to continue more organic conversations with people who sparked your interest.

Cost: $25

A limited # of discounted early bird tickets are available

ADDITIONAL NOTE: People of all genders, sexual orientations, races, and ages are happily welcomed. :)  This is an event for people who play well with others.

Accessibility Notes: There are 5 steps to enter the first floor apartment where this event is held. There is a couch, a futon, a futon mattress (laid directly on the floor), and a few chairs available for seating/ laying alone or next to others. All furniture and pads can be moved pretty easily if needed. Extremely quiet building. No flashing lights. My roommate recently rescued a small dog. He is not allowed on the mattresses or furniture with 1 exception, the black couch. He spends the large majority of his time in my roommate's room which is where he will be during the event.

If you still have questions, feel free to text me or give me a call at 669-23-BE-YOU.
