Event description

Description

The workplace is changing: Employee engagement is low, many companies are failing to attract and retain women in the workforce, and millennials want more than just a job to collect a paycheck — they want a purpose in their work. One recent study by Bloomberg News stated “Companies with highly engaged employees experienced 26% higher employee productivity, lower turnover risk, greater ability to attract top talent.”

Effective delegation can be a significant part of the process to engaging employees to step up and take initiative. It’s an important key to success in any team effort. When done correctly, this leadership skill can help develop individuals and achieve specific organizational outcomes

This workshop will help you:

  • Leverage proven strategies to increase engagement within your team

  • Delegate tasks and responsibilities to develop and train others

  • Empower employees to “step-up” their performance and take on more responsibility

  • Communicate clear performance standards for follow-up and accountability

Agenda:

6:30-7:00 Networking
7:00-7:15 Discussion of Engagement and Delegation
7:15-7:30 Exercises to learn more about the unique nature of our individual teams
7:30-7:45 Discuss as a group our findings
7:45-8:00 Final Thoughts
8:00-8:30 Continued Networking

Ideal for: Managers who want to create fair but demanding accountability systems that get results.

Our facilitator, Rachel Rider will give you a step by step guide of ways of handling delegation at your company. We will also have an activity to give attendees an opportunity to practice some of the lessons learned from the workshop.
