Event description

Description

Students can be a great source of feedback to find out what is working (or not) in the classroom each semester (Cohen, 1980; Murray, 2007) . However, students may not provide feedback until they are asked to do so during end-of-semester course evaluations - when it is too late to implement any of their suggestions in the current semester. Instead, mid-semester student evaluation data can allow instructors to tweak their practice during the course (Murray & Smith, 1989). This session will provide guidance on how to construct and implement mid-semester evaluations. Example questions to ask and research-based best practices for assessment will be provided.
