ABOUT THIS WORKSHOP
Social media can be a powerful marketing tool, but knowing how to use it in a smart way that fits your brand as well as your audience can be a challenge. Claiming a Twitter handle and setting up a Facebook page is easy—it's the work that follows that makes a difference. Having a strategy in place for growing your follower base from scratch and continuing to leverage those platforms to help double, triple or quadruple your audience is essential.
In this three-hour workshop, we'll look at the key social media platforms around and the best practices for marketing that pertain to each. We'll also explore what makes content engaging and sharable, and get hands-on with running paid social media campaigns on Facebook, Twitter, and other platforms. Lastly, we'll look at how to track and monitor your results and how to use that data to improve your marketing efforts.
After this three-hour workshop, you'll know how to:
- use each platform strategically
- create sharable content on social media
- run a successful paid campaign on specific social media platforms (after setting up and running a campaign during the session!)
- measure your efforts and analyze data to improve your effectiveness
This class is aimed at digital marketers, social media managers and executives who are looking to increase engagement and grow their digital reach, as well as for traditional marketers looking for ways to expand their efforts into digital and social media.
PREREQS & PREPARATION
This is a beginner class, but some experience using social media platforms like Facebook and Twitter is a plus.
Bring a laptop for the hands-on portions of the workshop.
