Event description

Description

The third event in Frieze Academy’s three-part Collecting Art series will have a specific focus on art works on show in London galleries around this date. Selecting works from a broad range of periods, from Old Masters to contemporary art, our hosts will discuss the works they consider worthy of greater attention, with a specfic focus on artists whose work is undervalued.

Alexandra Mollof: Specialising in modern and contemporary art, Alexandra Mollof is a former director of White Cube who founded her own art advisory AMFA in 2008 working with private collectors, museums, and artists as well as dealers and auction houses, brokering high-level sales to both public institutions and private individuals. Mollof also curates institutional and commercial exhibitions, including the first presentation of Italian zero-artist Dadamaino in São Paulo and a group show of On Kawara and Lucas Arruda in New York, earlier this year. Mollof supports various philanthropic art organisations and is a Patron of Tate and Museu de Arte de São Paulo Assis Chateaubriand – MASP, a Production Fund Partner of the Outset Production Fund, and a Board Member of MADE. For more information on Mollof's services and projects click here.

Sir Norman Rosenthal: At 21 he walked into Agnews, once London’s leading Old Masters gallery, from where he rose to prominence as the Director and Chief Curator of the Royal Academy, a position he held until 2008. Whilst there, Rosenthal worked on the controversial Sensation exhibition (1997). He now works on a range of self-directed projects.
