Description

Do you feel like you have the design, sales and marketing side of your business down pat, but are lost when it comes to merchandising and merchandise planning?  Are you looking to hone your excel skills and to get better at placing the right goods, in the right stores, at the right times?  Then this workshop is for you!

During this seminar we'll be looking at the ins and outs of merchandise planning so that you can run your business like a pro.  From downloading weekly selling reports and drawing insights from them, to accurately assorting your line, to negatiating on claw backs with partner accounts at the end of the season, this course will cover it all.

Run by industry leaders in the space we'll break down the night into fun learning sessions and send you off with helpful materials at the end.  Plus we'll have light bites and cocktails for you, since learning should still be fun, right?

Looking forward to seeing you there!

ABOUT THE TEAM RUNNING THE WORKSHOP:

David Lamer is a fashion industry leader with over 20 years experience building successful brands including Kate Spade, Tommy Hilfiger, Lambertson Truex, and Cole Haan. His deep experience in the fashion industry led him to start CORE and conceptualize PreeLine, recognizing the dire need to help brands and retailers gain strategic footholds to succeed and to change the process by which brands make inventory and assortment decisions. He was one of the first industry leaders to challenge the industry’s reliance on hindsight data and start the movement towards collecting predictive insights. A quant and technologist by nature, David was a pioneer of the merchandise planning process for the fashion industry, developing tools and technologies that are still widely used by planning organizations today.

Karen Fechter brings 20+ years of experience as a merchandising executive in the fashion industry working for brands like Diane Von Furstenberg, Coach, and Kate Spade. She is known for being a balanced left-brain/right-brain merchant with the ability to translate business needs into clear design briefs and product architecture strategies.

Julia Macalaster comes from a consultancy background and focuses on planning and operational opportunities, as well as marketing through social media channels. Julia graduated from Princeton University and worked with Booz & Co before founding her own startup. She has worked at Mack Weldon, as well as MicroStrategy.
