Let's Celebrant is a one-stop-shop for any celebrant looking to break into the industry, or for those celebrants who are wanting to learn how to build on their current success and further grow their business.
This 2-day event goes beyond just giving you information and tools on how to be a successful celebrant, the seminars will also cover the legal requirements involved in running a business. The seminar will also cover information and guides on how to create and build a unique brand to differentiate yourself within the wedding industry with marketing tips on how to increase your chances of being seen and booked by couples.
A portion of profits from this event will be gifted to My Wedding Wish - a charity that gifts weddings to the terminally ill.

Day 1: Celebrant and Legal
How to be a successful celebrant
This part of the seminar will be run by Dr. Lynette Maguire. Lynette has been a celebrant for 14 years and her success as a celebrant is undeniable. She consistently does over 120 weddings per year while the average celebrant does 15 weddings per year. Her passion for weddings and her nature of always wanting to help others has resulted in her creation My Wedding Wish.
The topics that will be covered include:
- Demystifying public speaking: paralinguistics and other ‘must dos’ to engage the audience
- Finding your voice and your niche – what makes you stand out from the rest
- Working out how much to charge
- Your written work – writing your templates
- Working with other suppliers – the dos and donts
- The secrets to having a successful celebrant business
The legal aspect of running a business
This part of the seminar will be run by Inke Loos, Principal Solicitor and Director of Leora Rose Law. Inke has worked in the legal industry for over a decade, and specialises in Commercial Law, Entertainment & Media Law and Intellectual Property. She is a driven and hands on solicitor, with extensive experience in both private legal practice and in house counsel roles.
The topics that will covered include:
- Corporate entity and commercial structures – choosing the best structure for you.
- Business names, and ensuring you protect your name and business identity.
- Trademarking and intellectual property processes.
- Terms of Service required to protect your business and livihood.

Day 2: Branding and Marketing
This part of the seminar will be jointly run by Ingrid Nichols and Neelam Mani.
With a solid understanding in business development and operational procedures, Ingrid brings a wealth of commercial and operations knowledge to our Masterclass.
Boasting an impressive career spanning over 30 years in the corporate space, Ingrid has an extensive background working within IT, Operations, Business and Strategic Development for a number of large corporations and within her own businesses. Ingrid loves everything digital and brings a new perspective to the way we perceive digital media within business.
In addition to leading the growth of My Wedding Wish and The Wedding Crush in her role as Business Development Manager, Ingrid is the owner and director of TIK Social Media, Director and Partner of IN Management, and Partner of How to Celebrate.
Neelam has taken her experience and passion for the digital marketing space and founded Get Digi With It, a Digital Marketing Agency. She has worked in the corporate world within Tech companies to increase their customer loyalty and brand reputation, leading national camaigns. With experience across social media, SEO, SEM, branding and content marketing, she is also dedicated to helping small businesses implement digital marketing strategies, helping them to see and increase in sales and brand awareness.
