Susan Israel

Founder + President of Climate Creatives

Susan Israel founded Climate Creatives to raise the urgency and relevance of sustainability issues to organizations and individuals using art and design. Her art-making experiences and public art incorporate data translation, and empower and educate people to take action on climate issues.

Susan’s work has been in the U.S., Panama, Hong Kong, and at the UN, and she has

collaborated with 100 partners and hosts, reaching over 500,000 people on-site and many more digitally. She works with colleges and high schools to embed sustainability in a transdisciplinary process into their curricula.

Susan is a 20-year licensed Architect, LEED AP, ArtWeek Advisor, and long-time member of the Harvard Alumni Association Board of Directors. She holds an A.B. from Harvard College, Master of Architecture from Harvard University Graduate School of Design, and attended the Museum of Fine Arts School in Boston.

Sheena Collier

CEO + Founder of The Collier Connection

After attending Spelman College in Atlanta, GA, Sheena Collier moved to the Boston area to attend Harvard Graduate School of Education in 2004. She didn’t know anyone or have a network, so she decided to build one.

Sheena designs events and workshops for fellow transplants (and native Bostonians) who share their struggles with building connections that make them want to stay—particularly black people who don't find Boston welcoming or easy to navigate.

Through The Collier Connection (TCC), Sheena creates a home for content, programming, and physical spaces to enhance the ways that black people experience Boston. TCC builds an ecosystem that connects black people to information and resources—and teaches others how to find your tribe, activate your network, navigate the city, and have fun.
