How to be an Ally: Loving a Trans Person

This interactive workshop organized by Toni Marlow ( and is opened to anyone who wants to unlearn what society has taught us about the gender binary, and learn about the trans experience from the trans community. In this workshop, participants will learn how to be an ally to transgender people and in particular, with folks who you have personal relationships with. This second part of our series and includes: panel sessions, open Q&A, and a breakout session in which participants can choose to delve deeper into what it means to be a supportive parent/guardian of a trans child, or how to be an ally in regards to dating a trans person. Light refreshments will be provided. This event is hosted on a Saturday to open access to folks who might otherwise be unable to attend during work days or evenings

Samson Brown 

Samson Brown is a Jamal Of All Hustles, with a primary focus on trans advocacy and the arts. He uses both the arts and his position as the Director of Trans Experience with Toni Marlow Clothing to create visibility for men of trans experience and to educate the general public on trans issues. You can find his play titled, 11:11 A Monodrama in 7D, in Black Solo 2: Watah Anthology of Contemporary Canadian Monodrama, published by Sorplusi Publishing.
