Free presentation, Free lunch, Free Continuing Education hours, Medication Take-back event

Opioid use disorder can affect people of all ages, but the prevalence among the elderly is growing. Misuse poses unique risks in the older population. Older adults are affected because they often use prescription opioids to cope with painful conditions such as arthritis, or following procedures/surgery, and they often tend to use multiple medications which can interact with opioids and cause serious side effects.
