Event description

Description

The responsibility of creating value for everyone and supporting the people we work with can be a dynamic and powerful resource that can generate outcomes demonstrated by strong relationships and inclusive partnerships. Personal commitment and meaningful collaboration with different others is a pathway for reconciliation. With respect to Indigenous people, how then do we create a more inclusive work environment? In this workshop we will explore a reconciliation framework and competency development for a new inclusive work standard for everyone.

What will you take away in this half day workshop?

  • Introduction to Canadian reconciliation

  • Awareness and understanding of realities & drivers for reconciliation

  • Explore what is needed for successful reconciliation in the work place

  • Understanding the skills needed for implementation

  • The importance of a framework that builds on the work you are already doing

Who should attend?

This workshop is intended for leaders that are creating possibilities: indigenous liaisons, human resource professionals, CSR practitioners, procurement experts, economic development officers, and environmental advisors; in fact, anyone who believes reconciliation is the new way to engage and be inclusive.
