Event description

Description

The 439th session of the Maryland General Assembly convened on January 9 and adjourned on April 8. During those 90 days, thousands of bills were introduced and debated. We had some great wins and some disappointing losses, causing people to wonder just how progressive Maryland really is. Join us to hear from legislators and a veteran political reporter on what passed and why, and what this session tells us about the prospects for the 4-year term to which all of our delegates and senators have been elected.

Speakers:

  • House Majority Leader Del. Kathleen Dumais (District 15)

  • Senator Cheryl C. Kagan (District 17)

  • Delegate David Moon (District 20)

Moderator:

  • Ovetta Wiggins, Maryland State Political Reporter, The Washington Post
