Event description
An experiential virtual workshop to help you make your virtual meetings better by stopping counterproductive behaviors.

About this Event

Organizations are taking more and more of their meetings online. They rarely consider what not to bring from their in-person meetings to their virtual ones. Designing online meetings that are as engaging and productive as their face-to-face versions is hard. Making a virtual meeting work is even harder when the face-to-face meeting it replaced wasn’t engaging to begin with.

If you are:

  • A leader starting to convene virtual meetings,
  • A facilitator supporting groups new to virtual meetings, or
  • A meeting attendee frustrated with virtual meetings,

then this one-hour online workshop can help you make your virtual meetings better.

This interactive session is not a webinar, and it’s more than a class. It uses the Zoom video-conferencing platform to create an interactive virtual space. You will work together with other participants on real problems with virtual meetings. You will explore your complaints and frustrations in a way that leads to productive action. You will start to identify what to stop doing to make these meetings more engaging, productive, and effective.

Your host for this meetup is Paul Tevis. Paul is a coach & facilitator who partners with technology leaders who want to work as effectively with people as they do with technology. Based in Santa Barbara, CA, he has been using effective facilitation to enable meaningful, sustainable change at organizations of all sizes for the last dozen years.
