Every four years journalists critique the coverage of elections and every election the coverage comes up short. As in: Why did the reporting focus so much on the horse race and not on what voters really care about? Why weren't there stories on the national anxiety about ....?
Have we learned nothing from the past? Instead of waiting until November, this panel of experts will post-mortem coverage of the 2020 election at the outset so maybe this time the media gets it right.
