“I think [Etsy] is a British site, but I believe they’re making inroads in America!” -- UK buyer.
How did American-based Etsy create a localized experience that felt authentic? Join us at Etsy’s San Francisco office as we talk Localization and Translation in the world of Apps, Web, and Mobile Web. Engineers from Etsy will talk about native apps, formatting currency for a locally credible experience, and strategies for tagging messages for translation.
This meetup will feature three talks by Etsy engineers. We'll also have time devoted for participant lightning talks, so please submit yours for consideration when you register!
5:30 -- 6:00 PM : Happy half-hour with drinks and snacks
6:00 -- 7:00 PM : Talks
7:00 -- 8:00 PM : Q&A and Social time
