How Do You Measure a Food System? A Durham Food Policy Council Symposium
Event Information
About this Event
POSTPONED- To be rescheduled for March/April 2021
The Durham Food Policy Council (DFPC) is exploring the creation of a Food System Report Card that would track key indicators of the health of Durham’s food system. The Report Card would be updated with the support of the Region, Municipalities, DFPC and other agencies, and used by these bodies to: 1) track and monitor the success of food system projects and 2) foster ongoing conversation about food system issues.
This symposium will bring food system stakeholders together to raise awareness and begin envisioning the content and use of our region's Food System Report Card.
The event will include a keynote address by food system scholar and practitioner Phil Mount, a presentation of DFPC's report card research findings, recommendations related to the Food System Report Card project, and breakout activities to brainstorm and collect feedback.
