About the workshop
Getting good staff is a perpetual problem for managers. In some disciplines like software engineering, there just aren’t enough good engineers in the labour market. In others like marketing, there are plenty of candidates and this places a huge strain on managers to select for the right skills.

This problem of how to recruit the best is not going to abate any time soon.

Who’s this workshop aimed at?
SME managers in science, technology and engineering who find it challenging to find high quality staff.

About your tutors

John Berry
John is an alumnus of Loughborough University of Technology, the Open University Business School and Birkbeck, University of London in technology, management and psychology. He has run science, technology and engineering companies and led R&D activities in SMEs and multi-nationals over the past 30 years. Today he is a consultant in organisational development and human resource management.

Sue Berry
Over the past 30 years Sue has led the human resource function in several firms, heading up and driving recruitment across chemicals, aerospace, education and charities. She is an alumnus of Newcastle University, De Montford University and the Open University in education, psychology and human resource management. Sue started TimelessTime 10 years ago as an HR and organisational development consulting firm.
