A series of three FREE virtual sessions to explore the impact of COVID-19 on employment & how service agencies can best support job seekers.

About this Event

How has COVID-19 impacted the employment landscape? Delivered by Canucks Autism Network in collaboration with Project Relay, this 3-part workshop series is designed for employment service agencies.

With topics that address the current challenges presented by the pandemic, attendees will gain the knowledge to best suppot job seekers on the autism spectrum and with intellectual disabilities in these uncertain times.

Sessions will be led by a hub team of experts including two self-advocates, a psychiatrist, and two employment service providers.

Attend all three sessions to receive a Certificate of Participation.

Session #1: Impact of COVID-19 on Employees

Session #3: The Challenges of COVID-19 on Smaller Communities

  • Finding & maintaining employment
  • Availability of employment services
  • Transportation challenges within small communities

Funded by the Government of Canada’s Opportunities Fund for Persons with Disabilities

Project Relay is one of four pillars of the Employment Recovery Project, an initiative aimed at improving workplace inclusion for persons with an intellectual disability or Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) through addressing critical hiring and support needs that have emerged in response to COVID-19.

The Employment Recovery Project is delivered by Inclusion Canada (formerly the Canadian Association for Community Living) and the Canadian Autism Spectrum Disorder Alliance (CASDA) and works in collaboration with Ready, Willing and Able (RWA).
