Description

How Can $140 Million in New Funding Address Needs of Alameda County Families & Early Educators?

early educators and families have spoken out about the lack of affordable, child care in the County and reimbursements that do not cover the costs of providing quality care. County Supervisors listened, and a coalition of parents, child care teachers, advocates and elected officials are developing a potential ballot measure to raise $140 Million in new child care funding for Alameda County.

This is exciting news for Alameda County, but we need your expertise!

Tell us how you think this new funding could improve access to high quality early care and education for children and families and what is needed to better support child care providers and teachers.

Important: these input meetings are specifically planned to get feedback from child care teachers, providers, and staff, but all are welcome.

We will provide light refreshments, and if you need child care assistance, please contact Kim Droghn at 213-266-6129.
