Description

About the Event:

Startups have long relied on open source technology to be lean and move fast, ignoring (perhaps rightfully so) the pitfalls of a well formed open source policy. For an early stage company to succeed, it is important to take risks and to move quickly. Exercising a modicum of caution and learning from the insights of big companies while knowing when to ignore best practices can mean life or death for a startup. Come join us for a unique panel discussion on how and when startups should use open source to balance risk with reward!

Meet the Panel:

Abby Kearns – CEO of Cloud Foundry

Paul Veugen – VP of Mobile, Mapbox

Steve Winkler – Head of Engineering at SAP.iO

Agenda:

4:00pm - Networking over food and drinks

4:45pm - Panel Discussion
