Michael Brito is SVP of Social Business Strategy at Edelman Worldwide, Adjunct Professor of Strategic Social Media at UC Berkley, respected author, acknowledged to be one of the pioneers of social business, and typically keynotes at major social media events on a national basis.

On October 8, Michael will be in St. Louis to lead an exclusive half-day workshop with Social: IRL and the Social Media Club of St. Louis, focused on social media and content strategies and tactics to better engage customers and prospects and drive business growth. The workshop is intended for businesses already active on social media, seeking a competitive edge and ready to evolve initiatives to the "next level." Leading St. Louis businesses, marketing agencies, and nonprofits are participating.

The event offers a rare opportunity to learn from a leading national expert who works with major global brands. Rather than the typical conference keynote, attendees will learn in an interactive small group workshop environment and have plenty of opportunity for direct one-on-one engagement and Q&A.

In addition to learning valuable in-person insights and case studies from Michael, Social: IRL will also be purchasing a copy of Michael’s latest book for each attendee (to be mailed direct on its release in late October).

Registration for the event is limited and the cost is subsidized to just $50 per attendee, as part of an ongoing digital advocacy and outreach initiative lead by Social: IRL.

Workshop Description:

There is a content surplus and an attention deficit in the minds of consumers today. They are highly influential and aiding others down the purchase funnel using organic conversations about the products they care about and the ones they don't. In order to reach these consumers, brands must create recent, relevant and value add content in order to break through the clutter and successfully change their behavior. 

Content is still king - and if you're a brand marketer, you need to start thinking like a media company. During this workshop Michael will outline strategic insights, operational frameworks, and insights and practical approaches for transforming your brand into a highly successful media company. 

We’ll look at social business strategies that will help facilitate the change from brand to media company, infrastructure for transformation, creating a real-time command center that will help facilitate reactive and proactive content creation, identifying and overcoming the specific content challenges that your brand is dealing with, enabling customers and employees to feed the content engine, developing a content strategy that can be executed across all media, and successfully integrating paid, earned, and owned media content.

Michael will also share relevant case studies and allow plenty of opportunity for audience Q&A.
