Houston Forensic Science Center: Explorer Program
Event Information
Description
The HFSC Explorer program will give students an introduction to forensic science and some of the disciplines that fall under that umbrella. Each monthly class will involve a short lecture and a hands-on activity to learn what forensic scientists do in a crime lab. The culmination of the program will be a mock crime scene where the students will put everything they learned to work: they will collect evidence, look for latent prints, take photographs and use their new knowledge to work the homicide. The Explorer program is open to those that will be high school juniors and seniors and the program will run the second Saturday of the month from August 2019 – April 2020.
