Event description
Learn about the Housing First approach and how to align your program with state and federal mandates.

About this Event

Dear Monterey/San Benito Providers and Community Stakeholders,

You are invited to attend an on-site Housing First Training on Tuesday, February 4, from 9:00am to 1:00pm at 220 12th Street, in Marina, facilitated by Homebase, a nonprofit law firm dedicated to assisting communities in their efforts to prevent and end homelessness.

Made possible by the Department of Housing and Community Development (HCD) Technical Assistance program, this training will include a detailed overview of the Housing First approach, both as a best practice and as a requirement under California law for state‐funded programs. Community stakeholders, program leaders, and county and provider staff at all levels are invited to learn and engage in discussion and Q&A surrounding the details of California Housing First regulations and information on how organizations can bring their programs into greater alignment with Housing First practices. For agencies receiving or applying for HHAP, HEAP, CESH and ESG funding, participation in this training is strongly encouraged to ensure that each state-funded agency is fully compliant with the State’s requirement to adhere to Housing First practices.

In order to assist Homebase with preparing for the training, we would greatly appreciate if you could take 5 minutes to complete a short survey at the following link:

https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/MontereyHFTrainingSurvey

Please submit your responses to the survey no later than 5:00pm Friday, January 24th.

Thank you, and we look forward to seeing you there!
