Are you interested in learning how to be a powerful voice in your community to end homelessness? If so, this is the training for you!

Join us to explore:

  • How to find the information you need to be an effective voice for more supportive and affordable housing in your community
  • The housing development process and how you can help move it toward approval
  • How to avoid shouting matches and instead find and join with like-minded people to engage in positive action
  • The difference between project-based, policy-based and issue-based advocacy and how to organize around each

This class is led by Tim Shaw, former Executive Director of the Orange County Homeless Issues Task Force and Michelle Murphy, Director of Public Affairs for Orange County United Way

Refreshments will be served.

Registration begins at 6:00 p.m. and the training will start promptly at 6:30pm
